The First Walk, 14th May 2011
A wild day on the higher tops, and so we opted for a lower-level
alternative.
We walked from Glenmore Lodge over to Ryvoan Bothy, and then
ascended the easy path up to the summit of Meall
a'Bhuachaille. Pretty windy on top, and we sheltered behind
the stone walls at the back of the cairn to eat our sandwiches.
Then on down to the bealach, and up to Creagan Gorm, before
returning down to the path which leads into the forest and
Glenmore.
Eight of us in total. I think we all had a good time, and
hopefully no-one got put off the great outdoors! Only 4.5
hours walking, so a gentle introduction.
